Maggie Messina - Associate Vocal Power Instructor
Maggi Messina is a singer, pianist, and bass guitarist based in Camarillo, California. She began playing piano at the age of 8 and has studied under Peter Yazbeck and Debbie Denke. As a vocalist, Maggi trained at Vocal Power Inc. with Elizabeth Howard and went on to found the a cappella caroling group Holly & Ivy before joining her current band, Inna Rude Mood, as lead vocalist and bass guitarist. Her band performs regularly at nightclubs in Ventura County including The Watermark, It's All Good, and J.J. Brewsky's.
Maggi specializes in pop repertoire focusing on smoothly blending and matching the vocal registers, belting safely, and ear training. She works extensively with young singers and musicians, providing them with regular opportunities to perform in public.
Maggi has a B.A. from California State University at Fullerton, and a Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
