Elisabeth Howard is the vocal coach for the rock band, The Police. Liz was called in at the last minute to help warm up STING at the 2007 Grammys for "Roxanne" celebrating the reunion of The Police.

2007 Vocal Power News
- The Globe Theater in Topanga, built by Geoffrey Forward and Elisabeth Howard officially opened on September 15, 2007 with "The Fantasticks" and Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." Sunday Salon at Two, opened with The Landolphi Piano Quartet. Concerts are on the first Sunday of each month with top - drawer chamber music groups. - Elisabeth Howard was called to give a vocal warm for STING at The Gammys with The Police in "Roxanne." Liz was hired to vocal coach Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland before their "Police Reunion Tour."
- Griffith Frank (student of Elisabeth Howard/Michael Dean), freshman at UCLA, is a new artist with Geffen records. Griff opened our 132nd Vocal Power Review on December 16th at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.
- Paige O'Hara (student of Elisabeth Howard) stars in "Menopause" in Las Vegas.

- Elizabeth Loyacano (student of Nicole Pryor) is going to Broadway as Christine in "Phantom of the Opera."
- Jennie Kwan, (Vocal Power Instructor) is on the National Tour of "Ave. Q." Maybe you caught her at the Ahmanson as Christmas Eve?
- Minglie Chen, (student of Elisabeth Howard) is also on the National Tour with "Ave. Q." Maybe you saw her as well at the Ahmanson? She's also doing Christmas Eve.
- Devon Guthrie, (student of Elisabeth Howard/Marlena Malas), senior at Manhattan School of Music, sang the role of Belinda in the opera, "Dido and Aeneas" at Manhattan School of Music and appeared as soprano soloist with the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra in Samuel Barber's "Knoxville Summer of 1915." In spring, 2008, Devon will sing the role of Rose in the opera, "Street Scene" at Manhattan.
- Megan Gillespie (student of Elisabeth Howard/Cynthia Hoffman), senior at Manhattan School of Music, sang the role of Dido in the opera, "Dido and Aeneas" at Manhattan School of Music.
- Christi Thompson, (student of Elisabeth Howard/Garnet Tree), performed the role of Fiona in "Brigadoon" at Pepperdine University.
- Tanner Redman, (student of Elisabeth Howard) plays the role of Matt in "The Fantasticks" at the new Globe Theater in Topanga which will continue to run in January - March.
- Juliette Dwyer, (student of Elisabeth Howard) plays the role of Luisa in "The Fantasticks" at the new Globe Theater in Topanga which will continue to run in January - March.
- Geoffrey Forward (husband of Elisabeth Howard) directed "The Fantasticks" at The Globe in Topanga.
- Julie Bermel, (student of Elisabeth Howard/David Sannerud) sang Mistress Page in the opera, "Merry Wives of Windsor" and title role in Puccini's "Suor Angelica" at Cal State Northridge.
- Thirteen year old, Kaley Casenhiser, (student of Elisabeth Howard) performed the role of Jasmine in "Aladdin" and will perfom the role ofThe Narrator in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Raincoat."
- Lara Wilson, (student of Nicole Pryor/Elisabeth Howard),freshman at Berklee College of Jazz was a featured solo artist on "A Gospel Christmas" Christmas Day, 12/25, 11AM on KCAL, CHANNEL 9.
- Lila Williams (VP Instructor) opened a branch of Vocal Power Academy outside San Francisco.
- Lisa Dawn Miller, (student of Elisabeth Howard) made her New York City debut at The Metropolitan Room, . In association with Sandy Hackett, Lisa performs her show, I Want To Come Back As A Song: Ron Miller, A Knight of Lyrics, honoring her late father, legendary songwriter, Ron Miller. - Lisa Linehan, (former V P Instructor/student of Elisabeth Howard) sang the Anthem for the L.A. Lakers.
- Victoria Gordon (student of Elisabeth Howard) was soloist with the Junior Philharmonic at Disney Hall.
- Aviva Pressman has been cast as Viola in Twelfth Night at the University of Oklahoma.

- Natalie Mesropian (student of Elisabeth Howard) was guest artist for ARPA International Film Festival
- Kelsey Redmond and Joanna Bert acted in "A Child's Christmas in Wales" at The Globe in Topanga.
- Elisabeth Howard was coloratura soprano soloist with the Cypress Symphony at their out door amphitheater.

- Laura Cook (student of Elisabeth Howard at Pepperdine) working on her MFA at Kent State, cast as Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown and got great reviews for "Privilege to Pee." Now cast as Ruth in "Wonderful Town."
- Eva Simontacchi, Vocal Power Associate in Milan, Italy has 2 cds: one with her vocal ensemble, "4 Heaven & More" which just came out with a new album "Our Christmas Songs" (on i Tunes) and being broadcast on the top radio stations in Italy. Her jazz album " Pure Ecstasy" will be issued in February with Splasc(H) Records, the leading Italian Jazz label, recorded with the E.S.P. trio (Sheila Jordan's official Italian Band) and Gendrickson Mena (Trumpet/flugelhorn)
- Vera Do Canto e Mello, Vocal Power Associate in Rio De Janeiro has been cast as the Mother Abyss in "Sound of Music."
- Franco Bertoldi, VP Associate and director of VP Academy in Bolzano (Italy) has written, and has realized a theater show (Il naufragio del treno), and a cd of songs and music tracks composed by him, with the same title
